【摘要】:Thetestmethodsdescribedinthisfire-test-responsestandardareapplicabletoassembliesofmasonryunitsandtocompositeassembliesofstructuralmaterialsforbuildings,includingbearingandotherwallsandpartitions,columns,girders,beams,slabs,andcompositeslabandbeamassembliesforfloorsandroofs.Theyarealsoapplicabletootherassembliesandstructuralunitsthatconstitutepermanentintegralpartsofafinishedbuilding.Itistheintentthatclassificationsshallregistercomparativeperformancetospecificfire-testconditionsduringtheperiodofexposureandshallnotbeconstruedashavingdeterminedsuitabilityforuseunderotherconditionsorafterfireexposure.Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,productsorassembliesunderactualfireconditions..Thesetestmethodsprescribeastandardfireexposureforcomparingthetestresultsofbuildingconstructionassemblies.Theresultsofthesetestsareonefactorinassessingpredictedfireperformanceofbuildingconstructionandassemblies.Applicationofthesetestresultstopredicttheperformanceofactualbuildingconstructionrequirestheevaluationoftestconditions.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.
