【摘要】:Manypetroleumproductsandsomenon-petroleumproductsareusedaslubricantsintheequipment,andthecorrectoperationoftheequipmentdependsupontheappropriateviscosityofthelubricantbeingused.Additionally,theviscosityofmanypetroleumfuelsisimportantfortheestimationofoptimumstorage,handling,andoperationalconditions.Thus,theaccuratedeterminationofviscosityisessentialtomanyproductspecifications.Theviscosityofusedoilsisacommonlydeterminedparameterintheoilindustrytoassesstheeffectofenginewearonthelubeoilsused,aswellasthedegradationoftheenginepartsduringoperation.TheHouillonviscometertubemethodoffersautomateddeterminationofkinematicviscosity.Typicallyasamplevolumeoflessthan1mLisrequiredfortheanalysis.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthekinematicviscosityoftransparentandopaqueliquidssuchasfreshandusedlubricatingoilsusingaHouillonviscometerinautomatedmode.1.2Therangeofkinematicviscositycapableofbeingmeasuredbythistestmethodisfrom2to1500mm2/s(seeFig.1).Therangeisdependentonthetubeconstantutilized.Thetemperaturerangethattheapparatusiscapableofachievingisbetween20x00B0;Cand150x00B0;C,inclusive;however,theprecisionhasonlybeendeterminedfortheviscosityrange25to150mm2/sat40x00B0;Cand5to16mm2/sat100x00B0;Cforthematerialslistedintheprecisionsection.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,seeSection6.
